4th Annual Gathering & Meeting
“Over the Rail Chair Seat Weaving”

2011-2012 TSWG members — Attend extensive and rarely demonstrated, chair seat weaving presentations; share your best tips; see demonstrations of time saving ideas; bring your favorite tools; learn interesting tidbits regarding seatweaving history; and best of all, enjoy networking with fellow seat weavers!
Join us for the annual banquet in the evening Saturday, July 30th, followed by the annual membership meeting of the corporation.
And bring along your chairs with handwoven seats to enter in the chair seating exhibit, “Chair Seat Weaving Through the Ages,” which will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
This chair exhibit is free and open to the public on Sunday, July 31st from 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. with demonstrations provided by our members.
Workshops and demonstrations during the weekend will feature these types of seats and more:
- Paper fibre rush in several patterns
- Wide binding cane with various designs
- Seagrass in checkerboard and twills
- Rawhide
- Various types of splints
Guild membership is required to attend the Gathering events and annual member’s meeting, so use this link to apply as a member or to renew your membership using the membership application form
Registration is required to attend all Gathering events, but all current paid 2011-2012 members in good standing may attend just the annual membership meeting alone, at no cost.
The annual meeting of the corporation will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 8:00 p.m. , following the banquet at the O.V. Winks Building on the grounds of the Hamilton County Fairgrounds & Exhibition Center, 2003 Pleasant Street, Noblesville, Indiana.
