The SeatWeavers’ Guild, Inc. was founded in July of 2007 in Nelsonville, Ohio by seventeen enthusiastic chair caners. Then the next year in 2008, we held our First Annual Gathering in July also in Nelsonville, Ohio. TSWG is a national organization of about 70 members who come from several different states and Canada.
Each year the Gathering and member’s annual meeting is held in a different location, last year was in Scotts, Michigan at Tillers International, this year in Noblesville, IN and we are considering somewhere on the East Coast for next year.
If you are a chair caner, wicker repair specialist, cane and basket supplier, or simply a supporter of the craft, we’d love to have you join our organization. Go to our membership application page to join today.
