5th Annual Gathering of TSWG at Old World Wisconsin
We’re gearing up for another great get-together of The SeatWeavers’ Guild, Inc. this summer, which will be our 5th Gathering since our original founder’s meeting in 2007. Save the dates and mark on your calendar to join us in Eagle, WI on August 3, 4 & 5th at Old World Wisconsin!
We’ll be providing short educational workshops, seat weaving demonstrations, a rare chair seating exhibition and other fun hands-on interactions with the public, besides our members-only events and annual meeting.
Lots of great fun in an 1880s atmosphere, come join us and step back in time enjoy the old time honored crafts, get a taste of the past in the present.

Members mark your calendars and join us for a three-day weekend of fun, sharing, learning and teaching the art and craft of chair seat weaving in the heart of Indiana in historic Noblesville. We’ll be set up at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds & Exhibition Center.
Participation in the Gathering events and the annual meeting is for guild members only. Members will need to register and pay the registration fee to participate in the Gathering events, but can attend the member’s annual meeting only at no cost without registration providing you are a current member in good standing.
We’ll have plenty of time for workshops, demonstrations, networking and our annual meeting for the members on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Then on Sunday afternoon from 1p.m.-5p.m. we are inviting the public in to see our chair exhibit, “Chair Seats Through the Ages” and watch chair seating demonstrations provided by our members.
The Sunday afternoon 1-5 p.m. events are free and open to the public, so bring your family and friends and see the old craft of chair seat weaving come alive!
A listing of nearby hotels, motels and camping is on the Accommodations page, make reservations early because that weekend is also NASCAR weekend.

Mark your calendars and join us for a three-day weekend of fun, sharing, learning and teaching the art and craft of chair seat weaving in this marvelous educational rural farm setting.
The annual membership meeting will be held at 8pm EDT on Saturday, August 1, 2010 after the banquet at the Guest House at Tillers International in Scotts, Michigan. All members in good standing (dues paid currently up to date), are invited to attend the annual member’s meeting.
However, if you want to also attend and participate in the Gathering events, you will need to pay the registration fee, your lodging expenses and for your meals. See the other pages here for details.
2009–2nd Annual Gathering of TSWG, Nelsonville, OH
July 31 – August 2, 2009–Second Annual Guild Meeting and Workshops held in Nelsonville, OH at Robbins Crossing on the grounds of Hocking College.
Workshop theme was “Adventures in Advanced Caning Patterns” on Saturday with several weavers providing demonstrations and talks on their particular caning pattern.
Following the Saturday night dinner at the annual members business meeting, the by-laws were ratified and the new official executive board was elected. Then in August of 2009, incorporation filings were completed.

2008–1st Annual Gathering of TSWG, Nelsonville, OH
July 18, 19 & 20, 2008–First Annual Guild Meeting and Workshops held in Nelsonville, OH at Robbins Crossing on the grounds of Hocking College.
Workshops presented were: Corn Shuck Seatweaving with Mindy King and Weaving Cattails and Bulrushes with Cathryn Peters.
Annual Members Business Meeting and Banquet were held on Saturday and on Sunday we had a continental breakfast and then the sharing of Hints & Tips from members.
